Initial teacher education programs

Accredited initial teacher education (ITE) programs are designed to equip new teachers with the skills they need to be classroom-ready and make a positive impact on student learning and wellbeing outcomes. ITE programs are accredited by state and territory teacher regulatory authorities in Australia, using nationally agreed standards and procedures. Graduates from these programs meet the Teacher Standards at the Graduate career stage, and meet the qualification criteria for teacher registration.
