Studying to be a teacher

Accredited initial teacher education (ITE) programs prepare classroom-ready teachers with the skills they need to make a positive impact on student learning. Australian accredited ITE programs are accredited by state and territory teacher regulatory authorities using nationally agreed standards and procedures. Graduates from these programs meet the qualification criterion for teacher registration.
